Brookline Access Television Selects Broadcast Pix Slate 5000s

The nonprofit organization in Brookline, Massachusetts, has installed two Slate 5000 live production systems in its new facility.  BATV’s new and much larger facility has two HD studios and two HD control rooms.  The new studio also supports 45 Apple Final Cut Pro edit stations, including 16 in both of its computer learning labs, all of which are connected to a 40 TB EditShare shared storage server system.

BATV decided on Broadcast Pix because of the fair price for a quality product that would handle complex production, but be simple enough for volunteers to learn and grow on the system.

The June/July issue of Imagine Magazine features an article about Autodesk Smoke on Mac

Autodesk Smoke on Mac 2011 - Edit and FinishThe all-in-one post production tool with powerful finishing features, Autodesk’s Smoke, was featured in Imagine magazine’s June/July issue.  The article discusses Smoke’s interface and the many high end tools that allow for very rich editing.  The article even notes that “Smoke plays well with neighbors like Motion and Final Cut Pro.”  The system allows for effects to be applied in several ways.  The technology behind the system allows for finishing tasks to be done without leaving the software.  Smoke also has a 3D compositing environment allowing for complete creative design and combining any number of layers.

HB is very excited with the release of the Autodesk Smoke on Mac system.  The whole Autodesk Media & Entertainment suite provides creative toolsets, speed and high quality.  HB is proud of the association with Autodesk as a reseller.  HB recently showcased the Autodesk Smoke on Mac system at two events – one in Stamford, CT and one in Boston, MA.  Attendees at the events are always blown away by Smoke’s impressive quality.  To learn more about Smoke on Mac, visit Autodesk's website.  You can even get a free 30 day Smoke trial.  What’s better than that?
