InfoComm International® is the leading nonprofit association serving the professional AV communications industry worldwide. Founded in 1939, the association offers industry expertise and market research serving press and others seeking information about the industry.  HB has a strong commitment to InfoComm industry training and certifications and is an InfoComm Emerald Audio Visual Service Provider (AVSP).  All customer-facing employees are required to attain CTS certification, with additional certification requirements for design engineers and senior technicians.  HB has also agreed to comply with 10 Standards of Excellence that were developed in collaboration with industry experts to emphasize the best practices of AV businesses. The Standards of Excellence are a guidepost for AV companies and professionals who place the customer first and offer quality AV solutions.

HB earned a GSA Contract for Federal Supply Group 58 I – Schedule Contract GS-03F-0001V in October of 2008.  This 5 year contract allows HB to sell various manufacturers products through the federal government, as well as being able to design, engineer, install and service these Federal Customers.  The GSA Schedule Contract 58-I is for Professional Audio/Video, Telemetry/Tracking, Recording/ Reproducing and Signal Data Solutions.

Video Educators of New England (VENE) is a group of educational professionals representing institutions located throughout the New England region. Our educators share a commitment to provide instruction for students interested in using video as a medium for instruction, entertainment, and information sharing.

HB is a member of SEGD, the Society of Environmental Graphic Design. It is the global community for people who work at the intersection of communication design and the built environment.  Environmental Graphic Design embraces many design disciplines including graphic, architectural, interior, landscape, and industrial design, all concerned with the visual aspects of wayfinding, communicating identity and information, and shaping the idea of place.

HB is a consulting member of the AFCEA, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. AFCEA International, established in 1946, is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security.

The Boston Avid User Group (BAVUG) is a community of Avid professionals, students and enthusiasts from the New England area who meet monthly to share positive experiences and concerns to learn new skills relating to Avid solutions and related technology.  HB is proud to sponsor this group.

MassAccess develops educational workshops, throughout the state on many topics. The organization has been educating the public and its members since 1997.  Educational workshop topics include cable refranchising, copyright issues, community access startups, production workshops, and ask the lawyers sessions.  In addition, they provide assistance to access centers and interested persons with start up questions, franchising issues, and general production and administrative questions.  HB holds a vendor membership.
