The North East’s leading provider of audiovisual solutions announces that Mario Porto, Vice President will be leaving to start MPorto Associates.

North Haven, Connecticut, September 30, 2009 – HB Communications, Inc. announced today that it is entering into a new relationship with Mario Porto, currently Vice President, Sales and Service of its New York/New Jersey branch office.  Effective October 16, 2009, Mario Porto will leave HB on a full time basis to start an innovative new marketing initiative under the MPorto Associates banner.  In his new endeavor, Mario will remain active with HB in a consulting capacity.

Mr. Dana Barron, CEO of HB commented, “While we will certainly miss Mario on a day to day basis, we intend to remain very close to him and take advantage of the services he will be providing through his new firm.  Mario will also continue working with HB in a consultant capacity, maintaining certain accounts that he has been intimately involved with for many years.”

Mr. Kevin Collins, HB’s Vice President of Sales added “Many of the initiatives that Mario began during his 3 years with HB will continue to thrive under new direction from other key members of the HB staff.  We look forward to continuing our relationship with Mario, although in a different engagement.”

Mr. Mario Porto stated “I have always been drawn to marketing and while I have enjoyed my full time involvement at HB, this marketing initiative is something that I have wanted to pursue for some time.  I will now have the opportunity to put my marketing ideas into practice while maintaining a relationship with HB both as a client and in a consulting capacity.
