NORTH HAVEN, CT - HB Communications, Inc. announced today that it had completed the acquisition of certain assets of World Audio Visual Enterprises (WAVE), of Mountainside, New Jersey in a cash transaction. WAVE is an audio/visual integrator primarily focused on the Metro New York and New Jersey markets.

HB Communications, Inc., founded in 1946 as an audiovisual equipment distributor for the educational market, is one of the leading audio/visual communications company in the Northeast. "I'm looking forward to our expanding resources in the tri-state area. Increasing our presence in New York and New Jersey enables us to give more attention to those we serve," states Mackey Barron, President and Founder of HB. "This transaction will allow HB to provide service and integrated solutions more efficiently to our New York and New Jersey customers," adds Dana Barron, CEO of HB.

Mario Porto and Walter Vierschilling will join HB from WAVE. HB Communications to Offer Optibase Professional Solutions for Advanced Video over IP Solutions to the Public and Private Sector

HB EARNS FIVE YEAR GSA CONTRACT

GSA Schedule

HB Communications earns GSA Schedule Contract GS-03F-0001V

North Haven, CT, April 16, 2009 – HB Communications Inc., the leading provider of technology solutions for audiovisual (AV), video and professional audio needs with over 60 years of expertise in the areas of streaming media, broadcast video, content creation, distance learning and system integration, announces that they have earned a GSA Contract for Federal Supply Group 58 I – Schedule Contract GS-03F-0001V.

With the GSA Contract schedule in place for 58-I and others planned to add, HB is able to leverage with valuable manufacturers to provide better technology and government pricing for all sectors of government.  With our customers being able to take advantage of on-line shopping at the GSA Advantage we are able to offer instant savings to the government! The GSA Advantage website provides users with on‑line access to contract ordering information, terms and conditions, up‑to‑date pricing, and the option to create an electronic delivery order.  The contract runs through until September 30, 2013.

Currently HB can sell Christie, Crestron, AMX, Sonic Foundry and JBL on the contract along with now adding the labor categories for system design, engineering, installation and service of audio video and video teleconference command and control systems. Also by adding Sonic Foundry and AMX we have strong multi-media offerings.
